Thank-you for taking the time to pray for Kathy-Lu today.
I am happy to report that the surgery is completed and she is now in recovery. The surgeon was able to do what he called "a complex repair" of the valve. The surgery was completed about 1 PM.
Although she was still sedated and on life support, I was able to see her briefly in the recovery room. I was encouraged that her colour was good and that the nurses had given her a special blanket to keep her warm. (If she was aware of that she would be thankful as she always feels the chill in a room.) She is getting good care.
The plan is for her to remain sedated for a number of hours allowing the medical team to monitor the heart and insure there are not any major complications.
Thank-you for continuing to pray for her during her time of recovery. As a family we are all thankful for His wonderful peace and for God's healing touch for Kathy-Lu.
